The Baldacchino

  We were blessed and honored to complete a project that was different and special. The Holy Metropolis of Corfu, Paxos and Diapontia Islands, in its effort to protect "The old baldacchino" from the wear and tear of time, commissioned us to create a new one in the same style. It is about the gold-embroidered urania that covered the sacred tabernacle of Agios Spyridon, which is a work of the 17th century. On the large surface (over 2 meters) the composition of the vine is told "I am the vine, you are the vines", while at the same time, Christ is the trunk of the vine and the disciples are its twelve branches.
